This Privacy Statement explains how Relead Consultancy B.V. (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”), located in the Netherlands, collects and uses personal data when you use Friendly8.com and any SaaS platforms offered under the Friendly Aide brand (together: the “Services”).
We process personal data to provide and improve the Services. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising purposes.
1. Who we are
Controller and Processor: Relead Consultancy B.V. (Netherlands)
Website: Friendly8.com
Privacy page: friendly8.com/privacy
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR), Relead Consultancy B.V. acts as a data controller for personal data processed to operate the Services. In some situations (for example, where business customers upload data relating to their own contacts or end-users), we may also act as a data processor on behalf of that customer.
2. What personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may process the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, login credentials (stored in a secure form).
- Billing data: billing address and other information needed for invoicing and payment administration.
- Payment-related data: information needed to process payments (handled via our payment providers). We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
- Usage and log data: IP address, device/browser details, timestamps, and activity logs (for security, troubleshooting, and reliability).
- AI-generated and user-provided content: content you create, submit, upload, or generate via the Services, including AI-generated outputs that may be linked to your account.
- Cookie and analytics data: information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
3. Why we use personal data (purposes)
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide the Services: create and manage accounts, authenticate users, deliver features, and provide customer support.
- To maintain security and prevent abuse: monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access.
- To process payments and billing: manage subscriptions, invoices, and transactions via our payment providers.
- To improve the Services: perform analytics and product improvement based on usage trends and feedback.
- To comply with legal obligations: where we must meet applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)): to provide the Services you requested.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): to secure, maintain, and improve the Services, and to understand how they are used. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): to comply with applicable laws (e.g., accounting obligations).
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): where required, such as for certain cookies/analytics (see section 7). You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Sharing of personal data
We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We only share personal data as needed to operate the Services, including with the following categories of service providers:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Our Services are hosted on Microsoft Azure in the EU (Germany).
- Payment providers: Mollie and Adyen process payments on our behalf.
These providers may process personal data only to provide services to us, under appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
6. International transfers
We aim to process and store data within the European Economic Area (EEA). If, in the future, personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.
7. Cookies and consent
We use cookies and similar technologies that are purposeful and necessary for the operation and improvement of the Services. We use:
- Functional cookies to enable core site features (such as login sessions and preferences).
- Analytical cookies to understand how the Services are used and to improve performance and user experience.
We do not use cookies for advertising or building advertising profiles. Where required, we provide a consent mechanism. You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the cookie settings available on our website.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Account deletion: When you request deletion of your account, we maintain a short retention period to allow you to reverse the deletion request. After this period, your account data is removed. Specifically, within 5 working days after account deletion is confirmed and processed, we remove the personal data associated with the account from active systems, subject to limited technical constraints (for example, backups and security logs) that may take additional time to fully cycle out.
If you are a business user and have uploaded personal data of third parties, you are responsible for ensuring you have a valid basis to do so. We will process such data as part of providing the Services.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. This includes access controls, encryption where appropriate, and logging for security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; however, we work to protect your data using industry-standard safeguards.
